Portraits
A good portrait tells the viewer a lot about who we are. It starts with what we look like, but it should also give the viewer a sense of how we feel and even what's important to us. It should make us look our best, of course, usually in a natural-looking way.
The 'Before' is a pretty good snapshot, but it does have some problems. The overall coloration is very yellow. The background draws a sharp line through the gentleman's face, and the auto interior is not a great setting. |
Correcting the color balance and replacing the background with the sunset sky is a good start. The gentleman also got some digital wrinkle removal, evening of some skin variations, and adjustments to heavy shadow areas. The result is a very nice and unique portrait. The contentment evident in his expression is more than momentary, it reflects back on how he feels about his whole life. |
