Digital Makeover Services
Sometimes we want a portrait that makes us look our very best.
It could be to enlarge and hang, for a dating site,
a resume, an "About" page, a portfolio,
or maybe just to send to Mom.
Most of our snapshots are taken with two of the harshest light sources -
camera flashes placed right above the lens, and bright midday sun.
The lighting creates strong shadows that are particularly good at revealing
wrinkles, skin irregularities, and other flaws.
Additionally, strong sun often makes us squint - not highly photogenic!
Exposure systems often record a scene with good overall exposure that is too
bright, or too dark, for the most important element of the portrait
- the face!
The original needed general retouching corrections to brightness and contrast.
Color saturation was increased and shadows were lightened.
Wrinkles needed smoothing, localized areas of skin splotchiness were evened
out.
Highlights in the hair were emphasized and a bit of orange added.
Stray hairs were trimmed.
One earring was brightened, the other darkened slightly.
There was quite a bit of work in selected areas, but the result was worth it!
